Our Story
KipPow began in a crisis.
Two educators on opposite sides of Louisiana—one in Monroe, the other in St. Bernard Parish—trying to make sense of an education system that never quite worked the way it should.
What started as a project meeting (and a mutual love of The Joy Luck Club) turned into a friendship built on equal parts respect, irreverence, and a refusal to accept “good enough.” We bonded over our shared frustration with gatekeeping, the way kids are sorted and labeled, the way teachers are blamed for everything and supported in nothing. And we knew—if no one else was going to fix it, we’d have to try.
KipPow exists to make learning more human, relevant, and transformative. We create tools that illuminate connections between people, ideas, and purpose—so every learner, family, and educator can feel seen, equipped, and a little bit legendary. We believe in evidence over dogma, curiosity over compliance, and progress over perfection. We believe in the power of laughter, late-night brainstorming, and experimental cocktails to shake loose the ideas that might actually change something.
We’re not here to pretend we have all the answers. We’re here to question boldly, design bravely, and build resources that help more people feel like they belong under the big top—just as they are.
Because an ordinary day spent learning with dignity and wonder is already something worth celebrating.
