KipPow was born from lived experience. Our co-founder, Ellie Powell Hilton, is a parent and educator who saw firsthand how traditional education systems often fail to serve children who don’t fit neatly into expected molds. When her own kids needed something different—something human, flexible, and responsive—she couldn’t find it. So she started building it. KipPow exists to create the kinds of tools and learning environments families and educators wish existed, and we believe the urgency is now.

There are many—but at the core, it’s this: our current systems aren't designed to honor the full range of how children think, feel, and learn. At KipPow, we believe education should work with the brain, not against it. We’re especially focused on transforming how we use assessments—not as gatekeepers, but as tools to illuminate learning, guide teaching, and support whole humans. That shift alone could change everything.
