Get to Know Holli Jessee

If you’ve ever met Holli Jessee, you know she’s the kind of person who sees both the big picture and the tiny details that make it beautiful. She’s a visionary with her feet firmly on the ground—equal parts strategist, storyteller, and systems thinker.

From Classroom to State Level to KipPow

Holli’s journey began in the classroom, teaching grades 5–10 English Language Arts. She quickly became known for her ability to design lessons that were both rigorous and deeply human—meeting students where they were, while pulling them toward what was possible.

That same gift for connection and high standards took her beyond the classroom. Holli served as Supervisor of English Language Arts at the Louisiana Department of Education, where she led the development of the Louisiana ELA Guidebooks, a state-level curriculum resource now used by teachers across the country.

She also brought her expertise to the publishing world as an Executive Content Developer at Benchmark Education and as Manager of Curriculum Design at Great Minds, guiding teams to create learning tools that were as thoughtful as they were practical.

A Vision for Education That Feels Legendary

At KipPow, Holli leads with a clear “why”:

To seek and illuminate authentic connections so that one’s life feels legendary.

She believes education should do more than meet standards—it should spark curiosity, build empathy, and help learners see themselves as part of something meaningful. That vision shapes everything KipPow creates, from tutoring programs to consulting partnerships.

The Superpowers She Brings

  • Systems-Level Thinking – Holli sees how pieces connect across classrooms, schools, and states.

  • Equity-Driven Design – Her work ensures that every learner—especially those often left out—has a seat at the table.

  • Visionary Leadership – She keeps the big picture in focus while making sure no detail gets lost along the way.

Outside the Office

When she’s not building KipPow’s next big idea, you can find Holli with her daughter, Adelaide, exploring new places, or dreaming up creative projects. She’s equally happy with a stack of research articles or a paintbrush in hand.

Why She’s Here

Because she knows education can be better—more human, more connected, more transformative. And she’s here to build the tools, partnerships, and possibilities to make that happen.
